Your 2026 → 2028 roadmap

Five phases turn "two years" into a set of small, doable months. You are in Year 3 now — the perfect moment to lay the foundation so your final year is pure attack, not panic.

Phase-by-phase plan

Each phase builds on the last. Don't jump ahead — a strong foundation is what makes the final-year sprint possible.

NOW → DECEMBER 2026 · Year 3

Foundation — build the base while college is light

  • Agriculture core: revise your own semester subjects as exam material — Agronomy, Soil Science, Horticulture, Genetics & Plant Breeding, Entomology, Plant Pathology, Ag Economics, Extension.
  • Aptitude from zero: 45 min/day on Quantitative Aptitude + Reasoning basics. This is the biggest differentiator and takes the longest — start today.
  • English & Hindi: grammar rules, vocabulary, reading comprehension — 20 min/day.
  • Habit: a daily current-affairs + agriculture-news note (one page). This compounds for two years.
  • Set up: a distraction-light study corner, a notebook system, and pick one YouTube channel per subject (see Resources).

JANUARY → AUGUST 2027 · Year 3 → Year 4

Skill-building — turn knowledge into speed

  • Finish the aptitude syllabus (all quant & reasoning topics) and start solving under a timer.
  • Static GK & General Awareness: banking awareness, Indian economy, polity, geography, agriculture schemes.
  • Subject mastery: convert notes into one-page revision sheets per topic.
  • First mocks: one sectional test a week; begin analysing mistakes in a dedicated error log.
  • Milestone (Aug 2027): you can clear a basic bank-prelims mock and recall your core agri subjects on demand.

SEPTEMBER 2027 → FEBRUARY 2028 · Year 4

Exam-focus — specialise and register

  • Lock your targets: IBPS AFO, IBPS RRB, UPSSSC/UPPSC Agri, State ADO (+ NABARD/FCI/SSC as bonus). See Success Odds.
  • Previous-year papers: solve 5+ years of PYQs for each target exam — this teaches you the exact pattern.
  • Join a test series for AFO and RRB; move to full-length mocks.
  • Take the UPSSSC PET whenever it opens — it keeps you eligible for UP Group C posts.
  • Documents: get domicile, category (if any), and academic certificates in order early.

MARCH → OCTOBER 2028 · Final year

Attack — apply to everything, appear for everything

  • Full-length mocks 2–3× per week, each followed by deep analysis.
  • Apply to every eligible notification the moment it opens — never self-reject.
  • Revision cycles: rotate through all subjects on a fixed weekly schedule (see Flowcharts).
  • Sit for prelims as exams roll out; treat each as practice for the next.
  • Balance: keep your final-year academics on track — a completed degree is required to join.

NOVEMBER 2028 → 2029 · Post-degree

Convert — mains, interviews and joining

  • Mains preparation for every prelims you clear — deeper subject & descriptive practice.
  • Interview readiness: your degree subjects, current agri affairs, and honest self-introduction.
  • Keep applying: notifications continue into 2029 — the pipeline never really stops.
  • Goal: at least one selection converted into a joining letter.

🎓 The honest timing note

Your degree finishes around mid-2028. Many exams need a completed degree at joining, and notification-to-joining can take months — so realistically you'll clear in the 2028–2029 window. That still counts as cracking a job in your graduation year. The key is that your preparation must peak before final year, which is exactly what Phases 0–2 ensure.
